The state’s Department of Health director on Friday released a statement verifying the legitimacy of Sen. Barack Obama birth certificate.
The state has received multiple requests for a copy of Obama’s birth certificate. State law does not allow officials to release the birth certificate of a person to someone outside of the family.
There were rumors that Obama was born in Kenya, where his father is from. The Constitution requires that the president be a natural born citizen of the U.S.
Many of us still do not think he was not born in the United States.
Multiple lawsuits were filed to try and force Obama to provide proof of citizenship. Earlier Friday, a southwest Ohio magistrate rejected a challenge to Obama’s U.S. citizenship. Judges in Seattle and Philadelphia recently dismissed similar suits.
My question is, if it’s legitimate, WHY WON’T OBAMA RELEASE IT SO OTHERS CAN VERIFY THAT IT IS REAL?!? Obama has still refused to release tons of documents that any Presidential candidate should be required to release. Does anyone see the problem here?!? This is ridiculous! Why should we allow anyone to become President who won’t prove simple Constitutional requirements for the position to a court of law — and to the American people! Doesn’t a candidate owe us at least this much transparency? You’d have to show far more documentation to get an entry-level federal administrative position, why not to get a position as the President? I think you should have to be completely transparent to get this job! This is an outrage!

As you know there are several lawsuits seeking to have Obama show his real birth certificate.
The way that you ask the question you imply that Obama should post his real birth certificate on line, not wait for the courts to ask for it.
The question in response is why? Posting a document on line inevitably leads to people claiming that it is forged, and in this case the Web posting may not be a copy of the paper copy but a copy of a paper copy made from a microfilm version of the document.
In contrast, if a court asks for it, the court has all the abilities to verify the document. Why should Obama do anything unless and until a court asks for it. Then, I am convinced that there is a real USA birth certificate showing birth in Hawaii, since the Certification of Live Birth is proof of that, and since the officials in Hawaii have confirmed the accuracy of the certification of live birth by looking into the file. Why should they lie?
